Gilt (New York Palace Hotel – Midtown)

I came across Gilt on Open Table as I searched for an upscale restaurant for Ofelia’s one night visit. What a find. The restaurant is fancy without being stuffy. The dining room is opulent with dark brown mahogany walls and ceiling, and lighting that reflects a rich red color on the walls.

The service is impeccable and the food is as delicious as it is beautiful. We ordered from the standard prix fixe menu. A variety of amuse bouche dishes are served between plates so don’t fret the small portions. You will not leave Gilt hungry.

Pictures speak a thousand words and these dishes were a work of art. View and enjoy – keeping in mind that each dish tastes as good as it looks.
